Charlotte James Connolly Goes to the GAA World Games

Charlotte are proud to be sending a team to the World Games for Gaelic football. This is a first for the club and we are delighted to be able to compete.

This is taking place between July 28th and August 1st at Waterford Institute of Technology's Sports campus, the WIT Arena with the finals being played at Croke Park on August 2nd, 2019.

Admission is free to the week long festival of games in both WIT Arena, Carriganore and Croke Park, and all are most welcome to attend!

This event will bring some 1,300 players from 10 regions around the globe to Ireland to play this summer.

The World games team from Charlotte James Connolly GAA are in Group D of the Native Team division. They will be playing games in the group stages through Wednesday with Quarter and Semi finals played Thursday while the finals are played on Thursday and Friday depending on how they do throughout the competition. Below are the provisional schedule for their games. The following games are subject to change and all Times are at GMT. All games Except the Cup final will be played at Waterford institute of Technology.

Monday 11:30 Pitch 7 Vs Tir Chonall Gaels

Monday 15:30 Pitch 7 Vs Argentina

Tuesday 10:00 Pitch 7 Vs France

Tuesday 12:30 pitch 7 vs New York Liberty

Wednesday 10:00 Pitch 7 vs Galicia

Thursday: Plate, Shield and Cup Quarter and Semi Finals will be held on Pitches 3 and 4

Thursday: Plate and Shield finals will be held at 4PM on Pitch 3 (shield) and Pitch 4 (Plate)

Friday: Cup Final will be at 4pm in Croke Park
