Please note, all field usage is subject to change up until the day of the event. Field closures are at the discretion of Mecklenburg County Parks and Recreation and will be communicated as soon as Charlotte GAA is made aware. Players should check with respective coordinators and/or coaches if weather or field usage is in question.

Charlotte James Connolly’s GAA youth program continues to grow with 50+ participants.
Parents/Guardians, club members and members of the wider community are encouraged to get involved through active engagement. The club is seeking prospective volunteers and coaches to serve, support and enhance program implementation.

As our youth program continues to grow, we are focused on enhancing resources available to our youth coaches. The following items are required, and will be facilitated by the club, for ALL interested coaches:
GAAGameSenseCoaching training and access (NEW THIS YEAR)
Completed NCSI background check.
Completed GAA foundational coaching accreditation.
Child Welfare Best Practices & Training
Consistently available on Saturday mornings 8:30AM-10:45AM over the period of the program (Typically 6-8 Saturdays)
Work with the Youth Coordinator, volunteers and coaches in planning, implementing, supervising, and evaluating program activities for child participants.
WHAT DO I NEED TO START?
Nothing! We’ll supply all necessary equipment! Just dress your child in comfortable, weather appropriate, athletic attire. We do suggest boots, these are also called cleats, but these are not required. Please make sure to also bring a reusable water bottle, labeled with your child’s name.
